As part of our 50th reunion celebration, the class of 1971 has established an endowed scholarship at St. Mary’s Academy-Bay View. The scholarship will be awarded based on diverse ethnicity and need.

Due to the generosity of many classmates, family members and friends, the Class of 1971 Endowed Scholarship reached its $25,000 goal in June 2021, 50 years after our graduation. Thank you for making it happen! This endowment will create a meaningful legacy for our class and, more importantly, provide ongoing financial assistance for deserving students based on diverse ethnicity and need. It is a permanent and reliable source of income from which financial aid will be awarded.

While the goal has been met, we have the opportunity to enhance its value to future Bay View students. The endowment is open-ended, meaning that current and future gifts to Bay View, that are so designated, will be added, allowing additional scholarship aid. Matching gifts from employers may also be added.

The more our endowment grows, the more financial aid will be given to girls who may not otherwise have the opportunity that we all had for a Bay View education. As we plan to gather in-person in September to celebrate our sisterhood and friendships made over 50 years ago, please consider making a contribution to the Class of 1971 Endowed Scholarship. Just click the link below. No amount is too small (or too large).

Thank you and we look forward to seeing everyone for brunch on September 18th at Bay View. Details to follow.
