Welcome back to the Girl Power Roundup! The April 2021 Edition would like to focus on women in the golfing industry.

Not too long ago women were not even allowed to belong to a golf club. However, today’s world is very different. In the articles attached below you will read about many inspiring female golfers who have made their path in the golf industry, such as Mary, Queen of Scots, Michelle Wie West, Jessica Korda, and Nelly Korda.

Mary, Queen of Scots was the former queen of Scotland who ruled from 1542 to 1567, and she is credited to have created the term “caddie”. A more modern day inspiring female golfer is Michelle Wie West. She started to practice golf at four years old! In 2000, she qualified for the USGA Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship at the young age of ten. Two other golf influencers are Jessica and Nelly Korda. They are sisters who are about five years apart, but you could mistake them for twins. The Korda sisters are some of the top female golfers in the world.
