The Bengals are back again, with fall season sports starting to finish up. The tennis team recently won again against Tolman at Slater Park, bringing their record to 11 - 3. Volleyball won over Johnston as well on 10/14. Emily Heath, a pitcher for the softball team and the field hockey team manager, recently gave her verbal commitment to play D1 at Softball at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. After softball’s exciting season last year, we can’t wait to see her team play again in the spring!

The Bay View Crew Team has been racking up medals as well. At the New England High School Regional Championships, Emma Leary and Lindsey Williams placed first, Varsity 1 placed third and Varsity 2 got second. The Novice boat also earned a respectable 7th place. At the Head of the Charles, the nation’s largest regatta, Emma Leary and Lindsey Williams placed third out of 53 for Bay View in the double. Congrats to the whole Crew team for competing at such a high-level event! This may be a sign of victory for the crew team in their spring season!

While our teams are often found competing, they also work to uphold our Mercy values as a school. Along with our BVA alumni, the tennis team walked the Gloria Gemma 5K in support of a cure for Breast Cancer. The cheer team also showed their support by cheering on the participants as they approached the finish line. So proud of our teams so far! Keep up the good work, and we cannot wait to see what comes with the winter sports season!
