On January 25, Vandell Andrade '12 addressed the Upper School community during a "Tea Talk."
Vandell shared her journey from Bay View graduate to a professional basketball player in Spain to RI State Trooper in an engaging and funny sit-down conversation led by students.
Tea Talks is a lecture series for students in Grades 6-12. Inspired by Ted Talks and Catherine McAuley's "comfortable cup of tea," alumnae and friends of Bay View are invited to sit down with BV TV hosts to speak about their careers and life experiences.
Tea Talks debuted in October with an interview with Joy Fox '95. Joy discussed her path from journalism to state government, starting with her internship during her senior year at Bay View. In November, the lecture series featured philanthropist Barbara A. Papitto, who discussed her passion for all-girls education and why she supports the Academy. In March, the Honorable Maureen McKenna Goldberg '69 will take the stage.
