Bay View Wins Basketball State Championship, 42-40 in OT, over North Kingstown

St. Mary Academy-Bay View wins first championship since 2015

The overtime thriller played at URI's Ryan Center had the crowd on their feet when they defeated North Kingstown in overtime, 42 - 40. Senior Siera Baptista was named team MVP for her outstanding performance in the win.

“This is my last ever basketball game, so to go out with a bang like this feels fantastic,” she said. “I was honored to be the MVP, but I would give it to the whole team if I could.”
