Student Life

All St. Mary Academy - Bay View students, regardless of age, reap the benefits of a small school within one large academy.

This can be seen with the breadth of offerings in our signature programs, clubs and activities, and school services.

The Benefits:

Small School

We maintain enrollment within the three schools, Lower School (Sprouts through grade five), Middle School (grades six through eight) and Upper School (grades nine through twelve), at a level where we are able to offer personalized instruction, a low teacher-to-student ratio, and a close-knit, supportive community in which the girls know each other and the faculty and staff are able to appreciate them as individuals. Each school has its own classroom space, uniform, traditions and privileges.

Large Academy

Because Bay View is a large Academy, we are able to offer services that many smaller and mid-sized schools cannot, including robust student services like full-time school counselors, nurses and campus ministers. Our state-of-the-art Athletic Wellness Center benefits all grades for physical education, health classes and athletics. Additionally, students from three years old through grade twelve enjoy a broad range of opportunities, like after-school programs and camps, sports, clubs and performing arts. With over 40 clubs and 30 athletic teams, every student is given the chance to find her place to fit in, combined with the encouragement and skills to stand out.
