April 2022

Greetings Class of 1970!

Dear Classmates,

Each year St. Mary Academy - Bay View alumnae who are celebrating reunions bring new life to the tradition of giving back to Bay View. As we continue to cherish the lifelong friendships made over 52 years ago, we should remember to reflect on the school that nurtured those friendships and provided us an outstanding education - an education that we want to ensure endures for future generations of young women and girls.

In 2020, Bay View was issued a challenge by a generous donor: raise $1.5 million by June 2021 to match her generous gift. In celebration of our 50th year anniversary, many of you generously supported the school by helping to meet this challenge so that the tradition of an exceptional St. Mary Academy - Bay View education continues for all.

Endowment for financial aid is one of Bay View’s top priorities. The Class of 1970 Endowed Scholarship would create a meaningful legacy for our class and, more importantly, provide on-going financial assistance for deserving students. This scholarship would be a permanent and reliable source of income from which financial aid could be awarded.

For many girls, the dream of a Bay View education is only possible if they receive financial assistance. As we prepare to celebrate our “50+2 in ‘22” Reunion, please join us in making those dreams a reality by helping to meet the $25,000.00 goal set in 2020 for the Class of 1970 Endowed Scholarship. We are almost half way there! With your help we can make that $25,000.00 goal a reality by our Reunion Celebration on June 30, 2022.

Gifts may be made securely online on our Reunion site, or by check to St. Mary Academy - Bay View 3070 Pawtucket Avenue Riverside, RI 02915 (Memo: Class of 1970 Endowment). For gifts of securities, please contact Erin Hanna, Director of Advancement at Bay View, at ehanna@bayviewacademy.org.

With sincere thanks,

The Class of 1970 Reunion Committee
