Spelling bees in English are tough enough, but can you imagine competing in one in another language? Well, that's exactly what three St. Mary Academy - Bay View Middle School students did last weekend. Bay View eighth-graders Faith Blais (pictured left) and Emma Holloway (pictured right) along with sixth-grader Cassie Bonilla (pictured center), competed in the National Spanish Spelling Bee at Foxborough Regional Charter School on April 28th. The competition was held for girls and boys in grades 6th through 8th, and out of the 16 total students who competed at Level 1, Faith finished 4th and Cassandra finished 5th! ¡Felicitaciones!
