On the evening of Thursday, September 20th, 2018, friends, family members, faculty and staff gathered at Mercy Hall auditorium, to induct the 87 members of our junior class of 2020 as official Upperclasswomen.

During the Junior Induction Ceremony, students were pinned with the official Junior Pin - designed by Sister Arlene Woods, RSM.

The design of the pin is formed as an oval that is seen as an expanding circle which reflects the programs and experiences that broaden the student, faculty, administration, and staff. The tea cup represents Catherine McAuley, the foundress of the Sisters of Mercy who, on her deathbed, asked her fellow sisters to have "a comfortable cup of tea" after she passed away.

The small rays that are more compact and concrete forming triangular-like rays symbolize the immediate experiences of involvement beyond the school. The rays pointing outward in the form of a cross symbolize the student's Christian response to bringing the Mercy of God to the world.

Each class is individualized through the addition of another ray at the bottom of the pin, which holds the year in which they graduate.

Congratulations to the Bay View class of 2020!
