H.O.P.E. Club
The H.O.P.E. Club: Help Our Planet Earth Club is the coalition of all environmentally-friendly girls at Bay View. The purpose of HOPE is to reduce the negative effect our lives have on the planet Earth through stewardship and educating our peers about the correct use of Earth's ecosystems and resources. Our initiatives will be for the benefit of all humanity, displayed through care and protection of our natural environment, in conformity with the mission of the Sisters of Mercy. And, we have fun!
Achievements: H.O.P.E. initiated Bay View's "Meatless Mondays" and "Lights Out Fridays" programs. The club continued to support the recycling program and worked with the Lower School's After School Program to make classroom recycle bins. Members attended a NEED.org program and worked with other high schools to perform energy labs.
