St. Mary Academy - Bay View (“we,” “us,” “our,” “the Academy”) has created this Privacy Policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy. This Privacy Policy, together with our Terms of Use and Conditions, sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. We will not collect personal data from you unless you choose to provide such information to us. Providing such information is strictly voluntary. Information that you provide to us directly by filling in forms on our Site:

If you choose to make a monetary transaction through our Site, we collect the amount and type of the donation or purchase, your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, payment information (which includes the credit or debit card information, security code and expiration date), and any tribute information you provide to us.

If you choose to join one of our online communities including our Facebook pages and groups, LinkedIn, Twitter or any social media outlets that may be added in the future, we collect contact information and the comments and content that you choose to share. Please note that if you choose to join one of our online communities, we reserve the right to delete any comments and/or content that we deem to be inappropriate or against our mission. If you complete the Profile update form and share your personally identifying information, this information will be used only to provide you with more targeted content. We may use your contact information to send further information about our organization or to contact you when necessary. 6. Kids and Privacy

For children who visit our site, special rules apply. We do not request personal information about children, such as first and last name or street address and city. When kids send an email to us, their online contact information (e-mail address) is not used to re-contact them and is not maintained in retrievable form. No one under age 13 is permitted to submit information, including personal information, to our Site.

7. How We Use Cookies

A “cookie” is a piece of text which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, this cookie file is stored on the hard drive of your computer. They help us and our affiliates to improve our Site. They ensure that the content from our Site is presented in the most effective manner for you and your computer. We do not track our users across websites or across time.

All computers have the ability to decline cookies. This can be done by activating the setting on your browser which enables you to decline the cookies. Please note that should you choose to decline cookies, you may be unable to access particular parts of our Site. We do not however, track our Site’s user across time or across websites.

We use the services of other companies to optimize our website and our services.

Google Remarketing

Our website uses Google’s remarketing technology. This technology enables users who have already visited our website and shown interest in our services to see targeted advertising on the websites of the Google partner network. Likewise users that are similar to the visitors of our website can be addressed. The advertising will be displayed using cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the website use will be transmitted to and stored on servers in the United States by Google. Using cookies, the user behavior on a website can be analyzed and subsequently utilized to provide targeted information and recommendations based on the user’s interest.

Facebook Tracking Pixel

This tool allows us to follow the actions of users after they are redirected to a provider’s website by clicking on a Facebook advertisement. This allows us to record the efficacy of Facebook advertisements for statistical and marketing research purposes. The collected data remains anonymous, meaning that we cannot see any of the personal data of any individual user. However, the collected data is saved and processed by Facebook. Facebook is able to connect the data with your Facebook account and use the data for their own advertising purposes, in accordance with Facebook’s Data Use Policy. Facebook does this by saving a cookie onto your computer for these purposes.

9. Opt-Out or Change Your Contact Information

Our Site provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us through a special online form. If you opt out, you will receive no email communications from us. You may also update your contact information previously provided to us through another online form. You cannot remove yourself from our database, but you can prevent unwanted communication. If you would like to opt out of written communications from the Academy, please contact us at knorton@bayviewacademy.org stating that you wish to be removed from our mailing list. If you wish to opt back in, you may do so at any time. You must send us an email request for that as well.

10. Security

To ensure that your information is secure, we have put in place commercially suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect on our Site.

Nonetheless, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically on our Site, and transmission of such data is therefore entirely at your own risk.

Welcome to the St. Mary Academy - Bay View website. These Terms of Use and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the St. Mary Academy - Bay View (“our”) website (“Site”). While we are pleased to offer an open forum on our Site’s linked social media accounts, any individual who defames another individual will be asked to leave the forum. We have sole discretion over who may participate in each social media forum.

ALL POSTINGS AND/OR COMMENTS OF AN INAPPROPRIATE NATURE, THOSE THAT DO NOT ADHERE TO OUR MISSION, OR THAT DEFAME AN INDIVIDUAL WILL BE IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM THE PAGE.
