St. Mary Academy - Bay View (“we,” “us,” “our,” “the Academy”) has created this Privacy Policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to your privacy. 6. Kids and Privacy

For children who visit our site, special rules apply. We do not request personal information about children, such as first and last name or street address and city. When kids send an e-mail to us, their online contact information (e-mail address) is not used to re-contact them and is not maintained in retrievable form. No one under age 13 is permitted to submit information, including personal information, to our Site.

7. How We Use Cookies

A “cookie” is a piece of text which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, this cookie file is stored on the hard drive of your computer. They help us and our affiliates to improve our Site. They ensure that the content from our Site is presented in the most effective manner for you and your computer. Our website uses Google’s remarketing technology. This technology enables users who have already visited our website and shown interest in our services to see targeted advertising on the websites of the Google partner network. Likewise users that are similar to the visitors of our website can be addressed. The advertising will be displayed using cookies. The information generated by the cookie about the website use will be transmitted to and stored on servers in the United States by Google. Using cookies, the user behavior on a website can be analyzed and subsequently utilized to provide targeted information and recommendations based on the user’s interest.

Facebook Tracking Pixel

This tool allows us to follow the actions of users after they are redirected to a provider’s website by clicking on a Facebook advertisement. This allows us to record the efficacy of Facebook advertisements for statistical and marketing research purposes. The collected data remains anonymous, meaning that we cannot see any of the personal data of any individual user. However, the collected data is saved and processed by Facebook. Facebook is able to connect the data with your Facebook account and use the data for their own advertising purposes, in accordance with Facebook’s Data Use Policy. Facebook does this by saving a cookie onto your computer for these purposes.

9. Opt-Out or Change Your Contact Information

Our Site provides users the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from us through a special online form. If you opt out, you will receive no e-mail communications from us. You may also update your contact information previously provided to us through another online form. You cannot remove yourself from our database, but you can prevent unwanted communication. If you would like to opt out of written communications from the Academy, please contact us at kharvey@bayviewacademy.org stating that you wish to be removed from our mailing list. If you wish to opt back in, you may do so at any time. You must send us an email request for that as well.

To ensure that your information is secure, we have put in place commercially suitable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect on our Site.

Nonetheless, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and therefore we cannot guarantee the security of data sent to us electronically on our Site, and transmission of such data is therefore entirely at your own risk.
