The nurses at Bay View are personally involved with students, assisting them with needs that are both acute and chronic in nature. We offer quality health services from two offices located in the lower/middle school and the upper school. Our nurses have years of valuable experience in multiple settings including pediatric, emergency, psychiatric, orthopedic and cardiology to name a few. Both nurses are available during school hours for immediate assessment of illness or injury. Their RN credentials allow for the administration of medication during the school day as well as support and monitoring of diabetic, asthmatic and students with myriad health issues.
While you are encouraged to be responsible for your own well-being, our nurses will support you by providing one-on-one education to assist in the development of a healthy outlook and a balanced approach to physical, mental and spiritual health. In addition, you’ll be involved in our annual screenings, clinics, vaccination campaigns and the bi-annual Health Fair which addresses issues that are of interest to teens and younger children, especially as they affect our female population.
Students at Bay View benefit from the collaboration of Health Services with the school counselors, faculty and administration to provide coordinated and comprehensive services to all students. This approach encourages students to seek out and utilize the resources available to balance the responsibilities of academics, extracurriculars and family.
