After School Care and BVA Camps
After School at the Bay
Our After School Program is available for all Lower School students on school days from dismissal to 5:30 PM. For the convenience of our families, day care is also available on all Bay View Academy’s professional days when classes are not in session. Students are divided into two groups (Early childhood to Grade One and Grades Two through Five). The younger students go to the S. Norma Fleming Playground or enjoy the playroom for supervised free play, reading, and arts and crafts. Students in Grade Two through Grade Five are given an hour of structured homework time daily (except Fridays) and can participate in board games, art projects or supervised play on the S. Norma Fleming Playground. All Lower School students may elect to participate in formal programs like violin lessons, choral music, art class, yoga and dance classes.
Bay View Camps
Summer at the Bay
Summer at the Bay runs for the four weeks following the last day of school from 9:00 AM until 3:30 PM (early drop off 7:00 AM and extended care is available until 5:30 PM). All Bay View Lower School students, including those new students who have enrolled for the fall, are welcome to attend. The familiar faces of the After School staff and volunteers from the Upper School give campers the opportunity to participate in activities such as tie-dye, field and water games, nature, technology, nutrition/cooking, art and crafts and more. The camp is growing every year thanks to themed field trips and entertainment like magicians, a reptile program, theatre groups and a life-size inflatable whale.
Winter Vacation Camp and April Vacation Camp
These camp sessions afford students a week of camp structured around a weekly theme. Daily activities vary according to the theme of the session. Please visit click the links to the various camp sessions.
