A Note from Kim Norton-O'Brien, Director of Philanthropy and Alumnae Relations
I have the privilege of talking and working with alumnae and donors everyday. And when I say it’s a privilege, it truly is. St. Mary Academy - Bay View alumnae are passionate about their alma mater and their passion is contagious. One afternoon, I was chatting with an alumna donor about why she gives to Bay View. What she said was something I wrote down because it resonated with me so much. This alumna, who is a leader in her field, said, “My years at Bay View gave me the foundation for everything that has come later in my life. Bay View taught me how to be a leader, how to be a critical thinker, how to focus on what is important and maybe most importantly, that I can make a difference in whatever I do. Even outside of work in my personal life as a wife and mom, I feel it. I truly believe it made me the person I am and that my success today is in large part because of Bay View.”
I thank each and every alumna and donor for their passion and support of Bay View’s mission. With your continued support, we will help girls and young women become the very best versions of themselves just as we have since 1874. It’s my pleasure to hear your stories and share your passion for Bay View.
