Grade 6 spent last Friday, May 19th, in Woods Hole, MA. The girls visited the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (WHOI) wet labs where they touched native sea creatures, toured the WHOI docks, visited the WHOI Visitors Center, and spent time at the aquarium. They also went on a boat excursion where they dredged the sea floor for local creatures, observed the local sea habitats through a video camera on the ocean floor, and did a plankton tow. The day ended with a little shopping and ice cream!
